Project Implementation Area : พื้นที่ภายในและภายนอกมหาวิทยาลัย(หลายอำเภอ) ตำบล Nong Sim อำเภอ Borabue จังหวัด Maha Sarakham 44130

Project Duration: January 4, 2568 – December 8, 2568

Objectives :
1. To utilize the potential of Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University in integrating knowledge and innovation for effective waste and energy management, enhancement of greenhouse gas (GHG) sinks, and efficient land use, with the ultimate goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving the environment, and transitioning toward a low-carbon society.
2. To disseminate and transfer technologies for greenhouse gas reduction and environmental conservation to units inside the university and external organizations.
3. To promote awareness, understanding, and participation among students, university personnel, and staff at all levels, as well as extening the impact to local communities in adopting environmentally friendly lifestyles, practices, and activities.

Activities :
The project was implemented through the following sub-projects:
- Thailand New Generation Loves the Earth
- Solar-Powered Drip Irrigation System and Electric Vehicle Innovation for the Promotion of Clean Energy and Sustainable Local Development
- Sufficiency Living for Climate Change Mitigation
- Waste Bank
- Zero Organic Waste Learning Center Project Establishment
- Environmental Leadership Development for Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation
- Positive Power to Cool the Boiling World: "Your Power Change the Word"
- Promoting the Implementation of the 5S Standard at Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University
- Survey and Database Development on Vehicle Usage by University Personnel and Students and its Greenhouse Gas Emission
- RMU Air Conditioner Cleaning for Climate Cooling
- Production of Soil Amendment Materials from Leaf Litter and Organic - WasteHuman-Powered Compost
- RMU Ecolife : Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions through Waste Sorting Using Upcycling Process

Number of project participants: 2800 people

Project Budget: 1,150,000 Baht

Results :
1. Number of activities are held to promote energy conservation within the university or utilizing electricity generated from alternative energy sources.
2. Receipt of recognitions or certificates for reducing greenhouse gas emissions through the implementation of university activities.
3. Internal university units that have implemented institutional environmental, health, and safety standards of Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University.
4. The University dissiminates learning resources, technology transfer initiatives, and innovations to students, staff, and external communities for environmental management, greenhouse gas reduction, and environmental conservation.
5. Sub projects or activities promote knowledge and awareness of environmental management for greenhouse gas reduction, relative to the total number of university activities.
6. Amount of greenhouse gas emissions reduced through the implementation of environmental activities.

Results society :
- The project has enhanced the university’s positive image by promoting environmentally friendly operations alongside educational development, while extending benefits to local communities.
- The participants represented diverse groups—including students, teachers, local administrative personnel, university staff, and students—resulting in greater awareness, engagement, and behavioral change toward greenhouse gas reduction and climate change adaptation, contributing to long-term environmental sustainability.

Participation :
1. Students participated both as trainees and as assistants working alongside university personnel in various project activities.
2. Personnel participated as trainees, organizers, and resource persons in training and outreach activities under multiple sub-projects.

Project continuity :
The university plans to continue implementing greenhouse gas reduction and environmental conservation initiatives in alignment with Strategic Area 5 (in the updated strategic plan) of Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University.

Problems obstacles :
1. Difficulty in monitoring and summarizing progress across multiple sub-projects.
2. Changes in sub-project leaders without prior notification, leading to communication gaps.
3. Delays and complications in data collection and progress tracking due to changes of sub-project leaders.

Improvement :
1. Clearly communicate timelines and operational frameworks to sub-project teams to ensure timely implementation and reporting.
2. Regularly coordinate with and request progress updates from sub-project teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting.

Suggestions :
There should be an efficient system for periodic monitoring and evaluation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data obtained, enabling its use in the development and improvement of similar future activities.
