Participation :
Integration with Teaching and Learning (Specify courses and utilization methods): Course: 7000102 - Social Engineer for Community Development. Utilization Method: The project is used as a practical case study for students (Case Study) to learn how to analyze real community problems, practice the social engineering design process through participation with the Ban Don Ngua community. Students experiment with product design, brand creation, and online marketing, which enhances skills in system thinking, teamwork, and the application of academic knowledge for community development.
Project continuity :
1. Expand the development of new products to be more diverse and meet market needs. 2. Promote brand building and intellectual property registration for Ban Don Ngua community products. 3. Enhance the efficiency of the RMU Marketplace and RJ38 online platforms and link them with national e-Commerce platforms. 4. Integrate cooperation with the private sector and government agencies to support marketing, packaging design, and product distribution. 5. Further study and develop research on the Circular Economy to reduce resource use and create a development model that can be expanded to other communities.
Problems obstacles :
1. Community Participation: Although Ban Don Ngua community has been cooperative, there are time limitations at certain periods because most participants work in agriculture, leading to intermittent participation in some activities.
2. Digital Technology Usage: A number of participants still lack basic digital skills. This results in delays in learning about online marketing and the use of E-Commerce platforms, requiring additional time for teaching and follow-up.
3. Resources and Materials: The reuse of fabric scraps is limited in terms of the quantity and quality of the materials. Meanwhile, the development of bamboo products requires high-quality and well-prepared materials. If the materials are insufficient or not up to standard, the resulting products will lack aesthetic appeal and commercial value.
4. Project Duration: The limited duration of the project makes it impossible to fully extend to in-depth activities such as packaging development, copyright/trademark registration, and the creation of long-term market channels.
Improvement :
1. Flexible Activity Scheduling: Planning a training schedule that aligns with the free time of community members, especially after the harvest season, so that participants can attend activities completely and continuously.
2. Step-by-Step Digital Skill Development: Creating simple online platform usage manuals, along with setting up a team of mentors (both students and university personnel) to provide guidance after the training to build confidence for participants with limited basic knowledge.
3. Material Procurement Network Creation: Coordinating cooperation with local entrepreneurs, garment factories, or local farmer groups to continuously source quality and sufficient fabric scraps and bamboo materials for production.
4. Activity Extension in the Following Year: Developing a continuous project in the next fiscal year to advance knowledge in packaging design, branding, intellectual property registration, and long-term online-offline market network linkage.
5. Support from Network Partners: Collaborating with government agencies, the private sector, and local organizations to support knowledge, budget, and sales channels, making the project sustainable and scalable to other communities.
