Project Implementation Area : Sok Khun, Moo 10 ตำบล Kud Rang อำเภอ Kut Rang จังหวัด Maha Sarakham 44130

Project Duration: May 1, 2025 – July 31, 2025

Objectives :
1. To enhance the capacity of peanut farmers in Kut Rang Subdistrict, Kut Rang District, Maha Sarakham Province through soil improvement, water management, and pest and disease control in peanut cultivation.
2. To develop knowledge in peanut product processing and support applications for Community Product Standard certification.
3. To strengthen knowledge and skills in product marketing and in producing promotional media and logos for peanut-based products.

Activities :
Activity 1: Prepared farmers for production planning and peanut product processing, selected farming plots, and assessed farmers’ knowledge of peanut production.
Activity 2: Conducted a practical training workshop on quality peanut production and water management in peanut fields.
Activity 3: Conducted a practical training workshop on disease and pest management in peanut cultivation.
Activity 4: Conducted a practical training workshop on peanut product processing — including fried peanuts and herbal fried peanuts.
Activity 5: Conducted a practical training workshop on processing crispy rolls from peanut milk and ready-to-drink peanut milk.
Activity 6: Conducted a practical training workshop on packaging design and upgrading packaging standards (both structural and graphic design) to add product value.
Activity 7: Conducted a practical training workshop on Community Product Standard certification and FDA registration application.

Number of project participants: 50 people

Project Budget: 270,000 Baht

Results :
Following the implementation of all seven planned activities, farmers gained knowledge from five key learning areas and improved their production capacity to create and process four peanut-based products under the community group’s brand, complete with logos and packaging designs, including:
1. Crispy fried peanuts
2. Herbal fried peanuts
3. Ready-to-drink peanut milk
4. Crispy rolls made from peanut milk

Results society :
Farmers gained new occupations and additional income, forming a community group for peanut production and processing.

Participation :
- Students participated as assistant trainers and integrated academic learning with community practice.
- Faculty members contributed knowledge, technology, and participatory working skills to transfer practical expertise to farmers.

Project continuity :
The project team successfully implemented all planned activities in collaboration with local farmers — covering production, processing, and community product certification — and has applied for continued funding to further strengthen and develop the farmer group in Fiscal Year 2026.
