Project Implementation Area : Pla Boo Village, Moo 14 ตำบล Nong Saeng อำเภอ Wapi Pathum จังหวัด Maha Sarakham 44120
Project Duration: April 28, 2025 – May 16, 2025
Objectives :
1. To develop the production chain of “Zab-Nuadee” herbal seasoning powder in Wapi Pathum District, Maha Sarakham Province.
2. To create value-added products from the wild olive seeds, which are by-products from the production process of “Zab-Nuadee” herbal seasoning powde
Activities :
Activity 1: Expanding the network of community enterprises producing raw materials for “Zab-Nuadee” herbal seasoning powder.
Activity 2: Developing prototype products that add value to wild olive seeds — including product and packaging design.
Activity 3: Enhancing processing skills for “Zab-Nuadee” herbal seasoning powder production.
Activity 4: Improving value-added skills in utilizing wild olive seeds.
Activity 5: Strengthening marketing and financial analysis skills of the community enterprise members.
Number of project participants: 75 people
Project Budget: 270,000 Baht
Results :
1. Local entrepreneurs and grassroots producers gain increased income.
2. Knowledge in product processing and upgrading is developed.
3. Community innovation aligned with the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) Economy Model is developed and applied in practice.
4. Collaborative learning processes are established among local entrepreneurs, university lecturers, students, and community members.
5. Tangible impacts and long-term sustainability are achieved within the community based on the BCG Economy Model.
Results society :
Economic Aspect:
1) Development of the production chain will enhance efficiency and generate new products, increasing income for enterprise members and local farmers.
2) Expanding the production network will create new local employment opportunities in production, distribution, and marketing.
3) Processing wild olive seeds, previously considered waste, will add value and stimulate a circular economy within the community.
4) New product creation and production chain development will promote local economic growth.
Social Aspect:
1) The project fosters collaboration and relationships among entrepreneurs, farmers, and educational institutions.
2) High-quality, marketable products will improve local livelihoods.
3) Promoting the use of herbal ingredients supports community health and increases awareness of the benefits of medicinal herbs.
Educational Aspect:
1) The project serves as a learning center for students and local people on the production and processing of “Zab-Nuadee” herbal seasoning powder and organic deodorizing charcoal.
2) Workshops enhance participants’ production and business management skills.
3) It provides opportunities for knowledge exchange and mutual learning among students and community members.
Environmental Aspect:
1) Adding value to wild olive seed waste reduces environmental waste and promotes efficient resource utilization.
2) Supporting sustainable agriculture through natural raw materials and local herb cultivation contributes to eco-friendly farming.
3) The project fosters environmental awareness and encourages biodiversity conservation for sustainable resource use.
Participation :
University students and staff actively participated in knowledge exchange with the community.
Project continuity :
The community established a sustainable product network, as “Zab-Nuadee” herbal seasoning powder has been officially registered as an OTOP product and approved with FDA registration number 44-2-01464-6-002.
Problems obstacles :
The product is not yet widely known.
Improvement :
There should be government initiatives to promote and stimulate the economy.
Suggestions :
Continuous invitations for groups to participate in the exhibition booths.
