Project Implementation Area : Faculty of Education, Maha Sarakham Rajabhat University ตำบล Talat อำเภอ Mueang Maha Sarakham จังหวัด Maha Sarakham 44000
Project Duration: July 19, 2025 – July 20, 2025
Objectives :
1. To develop students' competencies in knowledge, skills, morality, and ethics in 21st-century era.
2. To "Re-Up-New Skill" students so they can apply the knowledge in teaching practice or future employment.
3. To ensure students possess competencies according to the PTRU Model framework.
Activities :
Activities included
1. Focus on developing student-teachers according to individual potential.
2. Integration of biological sciences and educational theory to enhance the knowledge, skills, and desirable characteristics of teachers.
3. Development of the ability to manage creative and sustainable learning based on the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy.
4. Promotion of competencies for the modern teacher who can effectively use technology, media, and innovation in teaching and learning.
The PTRU Model has 17 competencies. This project focuses on developing two main competencies for the graduate teachers:
1. Art of Media Use
This promotes skills for Biology student-teachers in designing, selecting, and applying learning media appropriate for the content and the learners. This involves learning to use digital media, technology, and innovations.
2. Application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy
This fills a lifestyle and learning management approach based on the Sufficiency Economy concept. This is achieved by integrating the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy into learning units.
Number of project participants: 65 people
Project Budget: 30,000 Baht
Results :
1. Students were prepared for the teaching profession, aware of and recognize the importance of being a teacher, and increased knowledge in their major subject.
2. Students have the unique identity of a student in the Biology Major, Faculty of Education.
The project promotes the readiness of teacher students for the actual profession. Students develop creative and sustainable learning management skills. It supports the strategic goals of the university and the Faculty of Education, and serves as a model for competency development activities that can be expanded to other majors.
Results society :
The students are able to apply knowledge from the workshop in managing learner-centered instruction and understand and can transfer Competency No. 9: Art of Media Use and Competency No. 12: Application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy to develop their own learners.
Participation :
Workshop on instructional media design
Project continuity :
The second year of implementation
Problems obstacles :
The budget was limited to invite speakers or use many advanced media. The time allocated for the activity is limited (2 days), requiring some content to be summarized concisely. Some students still lack advanced skills in using technology and innovation, and require additional follow-up.
Improvement :
Adapt more activities to answer social importance
Suggestions :
The training period should be extended to 3–4 days to include more practical activities.
Assigning students tasks to design media and use them in real schools should be increased in follow-up activities.
The project should cooperate with network schools to allow students to practice competencies in real-world situations.
Additionally, additional budget should be considered for new digital media and innovations.
